Lawmakers to Discuss Banning Themselves From Trading Stocks (1)

Congressional stock trading will get a long-sought hearing next week as momentum builds around legislation to bar lawmakers from the practice.

The House Administration Committee will meet on the topic Nov. 19, according to a notice. The hearing comes two months after a bipartisan group of lawmakers unveiled compromise legislation aimed at prohibiting insider trading in the chamber.
