California Democrats backed an Assembly bill on Wednesday that would allow a higher percentage of ethanol in gasoline sold in the state.
The state Assembly passed legislation (AB 30) on a vote of 65-0 allowing gas stations to sell E15 gasoline, which contains up to 15% ethanol. The bill heads next to the state Senate, where a similar measure stalled last year.
