Crenshaw Ousted in Texas GOP Primary Without Trump’s Support

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R), the only Texas Republican seeking reelection to the House who didn’t win President Donald Trump’s endorsement, was unseated in the GOP primary Tuesday.

Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who’s served in the House since 2019, fell to state Rep. Steve Toth, who ran as a harder-right Republican more tightly aligned with Trump. Toth led Crenshaw 56%-41%, according to an Associated Press tally early Wednesday.
