Lawmakers hitting crunch time to keep the government open past a Jan. 30 deadline released a package of four bills this morning, paving the way for their passage by the House later this week.
The bills — Defense, Labor-HHS-Education, Transportation-HUD, and Homeland Security — cover spending for the remainder of fiscal 2026.
- “It’s time to get it across the finish line,” House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-Okla.) said in a statement.
