Two weeks after Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed, the steel structure is still strewn across the massive cargo ship that struck it — a frozen scene that exemplifies the massive undertaking required to clear the channel and build a new bridge.
“It’s still a complex operation,” Coast Guard Commander Roberto Concepcion said in Baltimore. “There’s a lot of debris, tangled parts of the bridge, containers that have to be moved.”
