Defense Policy Bill on Track for House Vote in December (1)

Congress’ annual defense authorization bill is on track to be finished by Thanksgiving and get a House floor vote in early December, according to a key negotiator and top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee.

Negotiators on the massive defense policy bill “are very close” to resolving all the issues, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) told Bloomberg Government on Wednesday. House leaders aim to vote on the conference report brokered with the Senate on the week of December 8, Rogers added.
