Democratic Rep. Susan Wild conceded to state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie as the Republican built a 2-percentage-point lead in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District in the Lehigh Valley.
The Associated Press said the race was too close to call. Mackenzie led Wild 51%-49% with 99% of votes counted, according to unofficial returns.
Mackenzie, who traced his family’s roots in the area back to the Revolutionary War, emphasized tightening immigration laws and cutting federal spending.
