At least five Democratic lawmakers who called on the military to refuse illegal orders received bomb threats in the wake of President Donald Trump accusing them of “seditious behavior.”
The increased threats over the last few days come after Trump, in social media posts last week, called the Democrats “traitors” whose actions could be “punishable by death.” Trump’s posts followed a video where six lawmakers, who have served in the military or intelligence, suggested the military doesn’t need to carry out orders that violate the law.
