Republicans’ odds of keeping the House may be buoyed by swing-district Democrats seeking higher office, House GOP Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) said Monday.
“If Angie Craig runs for governor in the state of Minnesota, we will get Minnesota’s second congressional district,” Emmer said at a Bloomberg Government event.
“That would give us a fabulous opening in a seat that’s basically dead even, and the only reason that it’s not is because of her,” he added.
