Democrats aim to force Republicans into a series of politically uncomfortable votes on the high cost of living this week as the GOP forges ahead on a budget process that opens the door to unlimited amendments on the Senate floor.
The GOP’s push to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol using the budget reconciliation process triggers a vote-a-rama, which allows both parties to offer and force votes on non-binding amendments.
