Senate Democrats are ratcheting up pressure on the Trump administration to release all files on sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein by the Friday deadline set by law, threatening legal recourse if it isn’t met.

Congress passed a high-profile measure (Public Law 119-38) last month to compel the Justice Department to release files on Epstein after a monthslong push from survivors that garnered broad bipartisan support. The legislation set a deadline of Dec. 19 for the files to be released.
