Senate Democrats are urging the Trump administration to reverse recent firings at the lead health agency overseeing mental health and substance use disorder programs, arguing they undermine opioid crisis response.

The White House earlier this month moved to dismiss many workers across the US government, including at least 100 personnel from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
