Key homeland security programs would be preserved under a stopgap government funding measure from House Republicans.
The Appropriations Committee unveiled a continuing resolution Tuesday that would keep the government funded until Nov. 21. The bill, which the House is poised to vote on later this week, would extend the Homeland Security and Justice departments’ power to take down dangerous drones. That authority is otherwise set to expire at the end of September.
