Duffy Threatens Pennsylvania Transit Money Over Foreign Truckers

Pennsylvania risks losing $75 million in federal funding unless the state revokes commercial drivers licenses issued to non-resident commercial drivers that Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy claims were illegally issued.

Duffy has claimed that a crackdown on foreign drivers is improving safety on roads nationwide. The effort has targeted blue states like California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who have denied wrongdoing by their states, ahead of potential 2028 presidential campaigns.
