The Education Department will soon launch immediate processing of student applications for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.
FAFSA Program Executive Director Aaron Lemon-Strauss announced the incoming changes at a conference for organizations working in college access advocacy on Tuesday.
Strauss, who works within the agency’s Federal Student Aid office, didn’t disclose a launch date for the changes.
