The House Energy and Commerce Committee has put off marking up its portion of Republicans’ sweeping reconciliation bill until the week of May 12, according to a committee source.
The panel was originally hoping to hold a mark up the week of May 5, but GOP lawmakers have yet to resolve internal differences over proposals to cut hundreds of billions from Medicaid amid pushback from moderate House Republicans. The committee will instead hold member meetings next Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the source.
