Energy Permit Overhaul Draws Bipartisan Support as Demand Grows

A bipartisan House group is seeking to streamline aspects of environmental and judicial reviews for all kinds of permits, including those for carbon dioxide pipelines, electric transmission lines, geothermal, and nuclear projects.

The framework, crafted by the Problem Solvers Caucus and released Thursday, is the latest effort to improve federal permitting and expedite traditional and renewable energy projects across the country.
