House Republican leaders are launching a new maneuver to move on from the controversy over disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein this week, as the issue continues to split the party.
House leadership Tuesday morning proposed an Epstein-themed resolution to unrelated legislation the Rules Committee will consider in the afternoon. The resolution, which doesn’t yet have a sponsor listed, would direct “the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to continue its ongoing investigation” of Epstein.
