Pass the Torch, a new group backed by Democrats urging President Joe Biden to end his re-election campaign, came together in only the past week and among its leaders is a failed House Democratic candidate.
Aaron Regunberg, a progressive Democratic candidate in last year’s special election in Rhode Island’s 1st District, and a member of the group’s steering committee, said Pass the Torch is a way for Democratic voters to urge their elected officials to put pressure on Biden to step aside.
