Farm Bill Stagnates as Summer Recess Hits the Hill: Farm Brief

If you’ve got that summer break feeling, Farm Brief readers, you’re not alone. Senators are just hours away from joining their House counterparts for an extra-long August recess—much of which will be spent on the campaign trail.

That also means a prolonged delay in any farm bill next steps. And the negotiations are looking stagnant heading into the dog-days of the summer.
