President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Agriculture Department Brooke Rollins told senators Thursday she will work to balance the new administration’s immigration goals with American farmers’ need for labor.
Rollins committed to working with Secretary of Labor nominee and former Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.) on the issue and reforming the H-2A visa program many producers rely on to hire seasonal immigrant workers.
