FEMA Chief Who Pushed to Save Agency Is Out After Hill Visit (1)

President Donald Trump’s top political official at the Federal Emergency Management Agency is out of the job, one day after a Capitol Hill appearance where he appeared to diverge from the administration’s views on the future of the agency.

The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday confirmed Cameron Hamilton is no longer leading FEMA. David Richardson is now the senior political official at the agency, according to the DHS. He moves over from the agency’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office.
