Ten Democrats broke with their party today to rebuke Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas for shouting at President Trump during this week’s address to Congress.
All Republicans and 10 moderate Democrats, including vulnerable Reps. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.) and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.), voted in favor of censuring Green, who stood during President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night speech and yelled that Republicans have no “mandate” to cut Medicaid. Green was ushered out of the chamber after refusing to stop yelling.
