Senate Democrats have launched a probe into leading artificial intelligence companies’ plans to power new data center projects with gas plants.
The senators announced the probe Friday in a letter sent to eight companies, including Meta Platforms Inc., OpenAI Inc., and xAI Corp., and other AI infrastructure developers.
