Following is the text from the Defense Department announcement:
General Electric Co. was awarded a $1.12 billion firm-fixed-price contract for T700 series turbine engines. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of June 13, 2029.
