Generation X finally eclipsed Baby Boomers in the House.
In the 119th Congress, there are 180 House members born between 1965 and 1980 compared with 170 born between 1946 and 1964, according to data compiled by Bloomberg Government.
The Generation X group includes Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who was born in 1972, and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), born in 1970. The 215 House Democrats are slightly older on average than the 219 Republicans.
