Georgia Senate Hopeful Touts PBM Changes, TrumpRx as Victories

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.), who is in a tough race to unseat Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), touted Congress-passed changes for pharmacy benefit managers and President Donald Trump’s recently launched TrumpRx as victories on high health costs.

Carter, speaking at a Bloomberg Government event Wednesday about his campaign and Trump’s agenda, also discussed issues related to consolidation in the health care space, a concern that both Republicans and Democrats share. He detailed an Energy and Commerce Committee meeting with the Congressional Budget Office director and staff.
