Germany Plays Down Trump Threat to Pull Out US Troops (1)

Germany’s top diplomat sought to dial down tensions with the US, saying the government would take a “calm” look at President Donald Trump’s threat to move US troops out of the country.

Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said he wasn’t unsettled by Trump’s social media post from Wednesday, adding that redeployment of American forces has been considered since ex-President Barack Obama’s presidency.
