Senate Republicans hope to start voting in appropriations subcommittees during the first week of June on their proposals to fund some domestic agencies, but it’s unclear whether Democrats will go along with that plan.
Republicans are planning to hold a markup on June 4 on a bill covering the Departments of Justice and Commerce, as well as science-related agencies, that panel’s chair, Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) said this week.
“It is the plan,” Moran said. “The question was, do I have Democratic support for that?”
