Sen. Rand Paul, chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, called on the heads of immigration and border patrol agencies to testify on Feb. 12 in the wake of the fatal shooting of a protester in Minneapolis.
Paul (R-Ky.) sent letters to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Todd Lyons, US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott, and US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edlow asking for them to respond this week with their availability.
Congress “has an obligation to conduct oversight,” Paul said in the letters.
