GOP Housing Bill Backers Pressing for Floor Action Next Week

House GOP proponents of bipartisan housing legislation are pressing to amend a Senate-passed bill with the aim of advancing it on the floor as soon as next week when lawmakers return to Washington.

House Financial Services Committee Republicans want their chamber to act next week on an amended version of the Senate’s 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, according to two Republican aides familiar with the negotiations.
