Hegseth Says Possible $200 Billion Ask for Iran ‘Could Move’

Defense chief Pete Hegseth on Thursday said a request for $200 billion in supplemental funding to finance operations in Iran could shift.

“That number could move, obviously. It takes money to kill bad guys,” Hegseth told reporters at the Pentagon. “So we’re going back to Congress and our folks there to, to ensure that we’re properly funded for what’s been done, for what we may have to do in the future.”
