Tom Homan made clear the Trump administration isn’t waiting for Congress to ramp up immigration enforcement—even as Republicans remain divided over how to fund it.

Speaking in Texas, the White House’s border czar said the administration has already expanded deportation operations and tightened border controls, arguing that policy shifts—not new legislation—have driven the recent drop in illegal crossings.

“We didn’t need Congress to do anything,” Homan said. “We just needed a new president in the Oval Office.”
