The Department of Homeland Security is at risk of letting dangerous individuals enter or stay in the US if the agency doesn’t address gaps in technology and procedures, a federal watchdog says.

DHS’s Office of Inspector General outlined the shortcomings Tuesday in a report likely to fan the flames of widespread criticism of the Biden administration’s border security policies, though the critiques center on vetting at airports and legal ports of entry along the border.
