House Democrats Need New Ethics Chief After Wild’s Concession

The top Democratic job on the House’s ethics panel will be up for grabs in the next Congress following Pennsylvania Rep. Susan Wild’s re-election loss.

Third-term Democrat Wild, who’s helmed the committee since 2022, conceded to GOP opponent Ryan Mackenzie early Wednesday. Her defeat will open a leadership role on the panel responsible for investigating allegations of broken House rules.
