Democrats in Congress are pressing President Donald Trump’s administration for more information on its decision to order 10% flight cuts across 40 major airports during the shutdown, a move that snarled travel for millions of Americans.
“The unprecedented nature of the administration’s decision to suddenly and drastically limit air traffic demands congressional review,” 26 Democrats said in a letter Friday to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Federal Aviation Administration chief Bryan Bedford.
