House Republicans released a bill Wednesday to boost spending on military construction and veterans’ health programs, the first of 12 measures to fund the government beyond Sept. 30.
The House Appropriations Committee released a $152.1 billion Military Construction-VA funding bill for fiscal 2026. The top-line total is about a $5 billion increase over the fiscal 2025 level, according to a Republican summary.
The panel is set to hold a subcommittee markup Thursday and a full committee markup June 10.
