The campaign arm of House Republicans has identified a tranche of candidates to defend the party’s shaky majority in President Donald Trump’s second midterm election.
The National Republican Congressional Committee on Tuesday introduced the first nine candidates in its “MAGA Majority” program—"the next wave of leaders who will help us expand our majority in 2026,” NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson (N.C.) said in a statement. An accompanying video described them as “the first of our team of America First candidates backed by President Trump” who are “building powerful campaigns to win the toughest races in the country.”
