The House Homeland Security Committee is bolstering its impeachment team by bringing on two new lawyers as the panel kicks off proceedings against Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday.
Paul Taylor, who defended then-President Donald Trump as Judiciary Committee minority counsel in 2019, and George Fishman, another former Judiciary lawyer, will help guide the Homeland Security Committee’s bid to impeach Mayorkas, according to two people familiar who spoke anonymously to discuss personnel.
