House GOP Releases $77 Billion Commerce, Justice Funds Bill (1)

House Republicans proposed legislative language Wednesday appropriating $77.3 billion for the Departments of Commerce and Justice as well as various science and labor agencies, the latest GOP push to trim domestic government funding.

The collective cuts total about $670 million from current levels the two parties agreed to in January (Public Law 119-74).

The House Appropriations Subcommittee for Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies plans to vote on the bill on Thursday, teeing up for consideration by the full committee next month.
