Johnson Aims to Pass Funding Bill as Shutdown Deadline Nears

House Republicans plan to either fund the government or place the blame on Democrats this week, as they set up a vote on a full-year continuing resolution. Lawmakers have until Friday to avoid a shutdown. Republicans released the text of a 99-page bill on Saturday that would fund the government through Sept. 30.
