A bipartisan group of House lawmakers wants to extend the Affordable Care Act enhanced premium tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of the year.
Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-Va.) said 33,000 constituents in the second district of Virginia used the tax credit to bring down the cost of their premiums. “We can’t pull the rug out from under hardworking families—we must give Americans more time to plan,” she said in a statement Thursday.
The new measure would extend the credits for one year.
