House Panel Plans Markup on Health Fraud, Physician Fee Schedule

The House Ways and Means Committee is planning to markup health bills among the legislation the panel is considering Thursday, according to three people familiar with the plans. Two people also said the panel axed consideration of a bill that would have increased scrutiny of nonprofit hospitals.

Some of the bills that are likely to be included are legislation on hospice, home health and durable medical equipment fraud, as well as to update the Medicare physician fee schedule (H.R. 8163), allow Medicare coverage of pharmacist-administered respiratory tests (H.R. 3164), and expand Medicare coverage for kidney disease ...
