House Passes Treasury, State Spending Measure as Deadline Nears

House lawmakers ticked another set of bills off their to-do list to fund the government long-term by the Jan. 30 deadline.

The House passed the measure (H.R. 7006) to fund Financial Services and National Security-State programs through Sept. 30 by a vote of 341-79. The Senate is expected to take it up near the end of the month after its scheduled recess next week.
