House Plans Friday Vote on Reconciliation Bill, Scalise Says

House Republicans aim to pass a procedural rule for their party-line immigration enforcement spending bill tonight, with final passage expected Friday morning, Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) told Bloomberg Government.

The House’s plans are contingent on the Senate finishing its marathon vote-a-rama and passing the multibillion dollar immigration budget bill on Thursday. Scalise said if the Senate can move as expected by Thursday night, the House will likely vote quickly on a rule to allow floor debate and consideration of the bill on Friday morning.
