House Republicans Expect Stock Ban Vote in First Quarter of 2026

Republican leaders have committed to bringing a congressional stock trading ban up for a floor vote in the first quarter of 2026, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) said after meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Thursday.

Luna said GOP leaders and stock ban advocates are “hammering out” the details on a bill that would curb lawmaker stock trading through a House rule change.
