House Republicans are set to pass two bills promoting pregnancy this week as they work to avoid another abortion-related electoral setback in 2024.
The votes coincide with the annual March for Life, an antiabortion rally on the National Mall that will include an appearance by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.). It also comes at the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling enshrining a women’s right to abortion, which was overturned in 2022.
