House appropriators signaled willingness to advance President Donald Trump’s vision to combine several health department agencies into a new Administration for a Healthy America.
The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday night advanced a fiscal 2026 Labor-HHS-Education spending bill slashing nearly $7 billion from the Health and Human Services Department, which would reduce the agency’s discretionary budget by 6% to $108 billion, if it becomes law.
