House Republicans could move to formally reverse restrictions on police in Washington as soon as Tuesday while President Donald Trump threatens to federalize the municipal police.
Legislation (H.R. 5143) that would loosen rules on high-speed pursuits of criminal suspects could pass the chamber as soon as this week after the Rules Committee teed it up for floor consideration Monday.
