House Republicans passed their first government-funding bill of the year, today rallying a narrow majority around a partisan measure that would restrict government diversity initiatives and cut spending on military construction.
The House backed the fiscal 2025 Military Construction-VA appropriations bill (H.R. 8580), 209-197. Four Democrats voted for the bill and two Republicans voted against it.
